Head Holding Device for Chronic Use with Mice (Narishige)
Narishige SR-9AM Head Holding Device for Chronic Use with Mice
Description

Fixation by the chamber frame enables repeated fixations in the same position in an unanesthetized state.

The SR-9AM is a mouse head holding device, designed for chronic experiments and can be installed on the SR series stereotaxic instruments. Fixation by the chamber frame has permitted repeated fixations in the same position in an unanesthetized state, thereby enabling you to perform not only acute experiments but also chronic experiments without causing damage to the animal. Without the need for anesthetization, the SR-9AM can be used for visual and/or auditory experiments.

The SR-9AM is intended for users who already own a stereotaxic instrument. If you do not have a base plate, please obtain the SR-9M-HT.

Also available is the SR-10AR designed exclusively for rats.

The chamber frame is customizable to your own application. Please contact us for details.

By bonding the chamber frame onto the head of a mouse, repeated fixations in the same position in an unanesthetized state have become possible. Once the chamber frame is fixed on the head, without the need for anesthetization, the mouse can be stereotaxically fixed without using the mouth/nose clamp or ear bars, enabling the SR-9AM to be used for visual and/or auditory experiments.
