Stereotaktischer Mikromanipulator
Narishige SM-11
Beschreibung

Versatile micromanipulator with multiple movable sections

This is the most popular micromanipulator for stereotaxic instruments, and is attached to the AP frame bar of the instrument when in use. A coarse movement unit with a long working range is attached to the Z-axis, whilst units for fine movement adjustment are mounted on each individual axis. These fine movement units have scales with a minimum increment of 10µm (i.e. the total of a single rotation, 500µm, divided by 50), so that precise adjustments of only 10µm are possible. In addition, the Z-axis fine movement unit has a sliding mechanism, which enables approximate positioning of the X-axis. A rotation mechanism is equipped for each of the XY, XZ and YZ planes, which allows the approach from any required tilting angle. Easy-to-use scales are provided wherever necessary for operations following a brain chart. Overall, this micromanipulator is simple to use and meets a wide variety of applications.
